BUCKS COUNTY OPOLY IS COMING!

We are in the process of obtaining sponsorships for our Bucks County Opoly game. We displayed at the Bucks County Expo a few weeks ago and have been going full speed ahead ever since.

This board will be based around Bucks County including major attractions, important historical sites, museums and much more. The games will benefit HealthLink Medical of Bucks County.

How HealthLink Medical helps those in need and the entire Bucks County Community

According to a report released this year by the Pew Center on the States, more Americans are visiting the emergency room with dental problems that could have been prevented if disadvantaged people had access to routine care. These trips to the hospital cost ten times that of preventative dental care. For reasons like this, HealthLink Medical Center offers free routine dental services to patients who are already seeing us for medical care.

 A study done by the College of William and Mary in 2009 found that diverting these
uninsured patients away from emergency rooms could save a local hospital
more than $500,000 a year, as these services usually go uncompensated.
According to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, the
economic impact of organizations like HealthLink is such that for every $1000
invested in our clinic, there is a $3000 return in the community.

HealthLink Medical which translates into $120,000 for the communit

How To Make Your Own Custom Board Game

So many people have board game idea's, but don't know where to start to bring them to life. See below for a simple check list to get started. These are by FAR not all of the possible options, but they are the most common and may help you jump start your game.

The Field - Board, Card, Dice or a combination of the three.
The Type - Roll Playing, Strategy, Trivia, Skill, Multi-player, Chance etc.
Materials Needed - Board, Cards, Pawns, Dice, Spinner, Chips, Box, Instructions,
Sizes - Choose your board, card, box, playing piece or chip size along with qty.
Design - Once you have everything set you are ready to start designing your game.

If you aren't a graphic designer there is no need to worry, there are plenty of resources out there to help design your game that won't break your bank. One of the most popular places we recommend is 99 designs, they have designers available for all budgets. There are also several other places to find freelance artists. 521 Promo also offers full design and prototype capabilities.

After you have your game designed it's now time to get a prototype for play testing. Since play testing can provide MANY changes in the game we would recommend creating a simple version using paper and foam board or index cards before paying for a professional prototype. After the play testing stage and all changed have been made you are ready for quotes and a professional prototype to show investors or even feature in your Kickstarter video, if you have one. If funding is not a problem then you are ready to move forward in the ordering process.

521 Promo will handle the rest from here. If you didn't use our design services you would just simply upload your artwork to our server. From there we would send you proofs, once the proofs are approved we would proceed with production. A standard turn around time for board games is about 10 weeks. All of our custom board games come professionally packaged and ready to hit the shelves.

Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser

We wanted to take a moment and extend our thoughts for those effected by hurricane Sandy last week. The office for 521 Promo still has no power or internet, but we are lucky enough to have a friend of ours lend us some office space so we can continue to work. Since we are from NJ and the shore has always held a special place in our hearts we are starting a fundraiser to help Re Store The Shore!
